This is exactly why I hate the blased scale!!! As of yesterday I had lost 5 lbs, but apparently somewhere between yesterday and this morning I put back on two of those pounds.... perhaps it was all the avacado I ate, but surely half an avacado wouldn't warrent 2 lbs. Bleh... my guess is that its just water retention. I KNOW I didn't eat enough to gain two lbs... I'm fairly certain I didn't even eat enough to gain one. So I guess we'll just see how the scale goes tomorrow. I did eat rather late in the evening. Well I guess we'll see what the scale says tomorrow.

I think around 2:30pm I made two packets of Lipton Cup-a-Soup, which is two cups, but I added more than two cups of water so that I might feel fuller longer. However, thats all I've had today besides water so I'm SUPER happy with myself. The two packets added up to 140 calories too, so thats not bad at all.

I'm still not sure whats being made for dinner, but it's not like it really matters. Today is my liquid fast and so far so good. I'd hate to ruin it at the end of the day. I think I'm going to give up milk and possibly cheese. Or at least switch to skim milk, but milk is just so dang expensive these days. A gallon here is like 4 or 5 bucks depending on what store you go to. Thats just insane if you ask me!

Anyways... that walk/run I mentioned doing later today... well I kind of jumped the gun and tried to do it earlier in the day... only it was exactly as hot as I expected it to be and by the time I'd even gotten maybe a quarter of a mile done I was already dripping with sweat. I stopped by my friend's to give her something and ended up getting a ride home. I was perfectly fine walking home, but she didn't think I should since I had my daughter with me and it was so hot. So that idea basically went out the window for now.

My new idea is that maybe in an hour and a half I can go walk a mile if my daughter is with me or run/walk if I can get her grandma to watch her. I guess we'll see.

But its 4:03 now and I've had water, juice and soup, just as planned. Yay me!!!

Day #1

Okay, so I attempted to do my C25K workout on the treadmil today... not the greatest idea. I'm so not a huge fan of the treadmil. I need to be outside where I can enjoy the scenery, the fresh air, the sun and also it allows me to use markers to determine how far I should go and track my progress. A treadmil just doesn't do any of that for me. Not to mention that I have a very hard time stay balanced on the stupid thing. So anyways, I only did about 10 minutes of walking/running. Not the happiest about that, but I intend to do some extra exercise such as situps, pushups and leg lunges so maybe it wont be so bad. At least I know for the next time that its better to run outside if the weather permits it.

I mean sure its great to have a treadmil on rainy days and I know I'll be grateful for having it should the weather not allow me to do any running outside, but when its nice out its a million times better for me to do my running outside. I think... now this is just an idea, it depends on someone else, but I think, if I can I might leave my daughter with her Greatgrandma while I run over to a friends house. I just went to Gmaps Pedometer and mapped out a route to get there and back that would be exactly 1 mile with a small break while I'm at my friends it shouldn't be hard for me to walk & run my way there and back... or at least thats my hope, but its going to have to wait until at least 3 or 4:00pm. It's way too hot here in the early afternoon.

So far... I've only had a little water. I'm not hungry which is good, but I definitely need to get some more liquids in my system. So as soon as I finish this post I'm going to run to the kitchen and fix myself some watered down lemon juice. Peace!

Introduction & Rules For Tomorrow

Hello there! My name is Jamie as my userinfo indicates. I'm 25 years old, well technically 24, but the 19th is my birthday so I guess it doesn't really matter. Anyway, this is my diet & fitness journal. Nothing, but diet and fitness related topics will be posted here, so be forewarned. I have another journal specifically for personal/daily life posts, so thats not whats going to be posted on here. This journal is for my eating and exercising. This is for my struggles and my triumphs. I want to document it all... HERE. I'm leaving all of my posts public, which isn't really like me. I'm so use to locking everything up, but I thought I'd give it a shot. If theres any drama or problems as a result of leaving it unlocked, then this journal will get locked up too, but for now, we'll see how things go.

Tomorrow is the first day. I would prefer if it were a Monday, but I refuse to put this off any longer. NO MORE EXCUSES!

Tomorrow is liquids only. Water, juice or soup. Nothing else!!! I will start the day off with my Day 1 training for C25K which is... brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes. Followed by 20 situps, 20 leg lunges, 20 pushups and by then, a much needed shower. NO EXCUSES!

<lj-embed id="1" />
